so i officially tore the piss out of my back. i pulled it again today lifting a case of chocolate covered raisins. i went to urgent care because i thought it was just something i did... but the doc said it was workers comp... a case of overused muscles or something. so then i had to go to my works doctor... that took all gotdamned day. i took a vicodin, 800mg of ibuprofen got a shot in my ass and went to physical therapy.

naturally my work doctor cleared me to work... so i'll be back in the saddle tomorrow. it hurts when i think. but i was jacked up on enough drugs today that it was ok for the bulk of the day.

i played A LOT of Williams Pinball Hall of Fame for the Wii. A lot. i love that game. i can't quit you WPHOF!

Work doctors will ALWAYS find a way to get you back to work. Pump yourself full of pain killers and go back to work is their motto. Ask your boss to put you on light duty or something. DO NOT go back to your old duties. The work doctor will say that you're fine, but that recommendation turns to bull shit if you get hurt again. AND if you get hurt again, that doctor and your job are liable.

I know an awesome chiropractor. He's really good and accepts most insurances. If he doesn't accept yours, he's still pretty cheap. If you're hurt, he may tell you it's best to wait before he does any therapy with you, but he's fantastic. Let me know if you want the phone number.

back pain sucks
sorry about the back, man. I pulled mine really badly on my second week of work. I'm better now, but I lift nothing without help or my lifting belt now (Dwarven +2 Belt of Strength).

careful. you've got 3 lungs, 2 kidneys, plenty of brains, but only one spine...
