I'm sure everyone has heard it by now, but the new Weezer single... it's actually good! I'm as shocked as you are.

The lyrics aren't completely awful!

The melody is fantastic!

The composition is interesting!

It almost kinda sounds like old Weezer. It sounds like what Old Weezer would probably sounds like at this point in their career, had they survived.

I'm stunned.

The new Scarlett Johansen song isn't completely awful either... wowzers. I wouldn't buy it, but it's not awful. not awful. and shes engaged to ryan reynolds. i thought he was still with alanis.

The Wombats are totally catchy.

I think Alanis left Ryan after he got veneers. For serious. He blinded her with them. But I have no idea how he and Scarlet Johannson got together.

it took me like 50 years to figure out what you meant by 'got veneers'. i was like 'man, i know all the sexual diseases, and even thats a new one to me.'.

if fotini 'got veneers' in a sexual sense, i'd leave her too. some shiny teeth is ok with me though.

So funny...I heard the new weezer about two months ago on the radio here in Phoenix and actually liked it, and the first thought that came to mind was "wonder how long it will be until Don is bitching about this on LJ or myspace".
