WHAT THE F###???

$75???

You gotta be gotdamned SH!TTING ME.

Especially for a show where I would leave before the headliner.

Kanye... I used to root for you, now I see right thru you. Go away. And take Taylor Swift with you.

Watched 'The Visitation' last night... fell asleep for about 20 minutes right in the middle. woke up and Fotini was mad at me because she was terrified of the film and i was sleeping through it.

her theory that i always sleep through the climax of the film was proven again today though when i slept through 5 minutes of 'The Darjeeling Limited'. No spoilers, but it was probably the only part that they would have maybe needed a stuntman for. Easily the most action packed part of that (wes anderson) film.

Darjeeling was good though... i know i always say this, but it was exactly what i expected. which is saying something for a film i knew NOTHING about going on, besides it was a wes anderson film (which was enough for me...). that said, i enjoyed it, even more than Life Aquatic actually.

so i bit and bought another HDDVD player. why you ask? well, they had a universal price drop to $50 this week... and today is the last day you can buy one and get 5 free hd-dvds. so basically, i got a new player and 5 hddvds for $50. its a great upscaling dvd player, and we use the other one constantly, so its not the worst thing in the world to have a back up.

AND there are actually some hddvds on the list that i actively WANT. here's the offered categories and selections. you get to pick one dvd from each of the five categories (for whatever reason).

a) aeon flux, babel, The Italian Job (remake)
b) The Hulk, Pitch Black, The Thing (remake)
c) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (remake), Swordfish, Full Metal Jacket
d) Firewall, The Frighteners, U2: Rattle and Hum
e) Black Rain (really?), Darkman, Troy

they BOTHERED to release Black Rain on HDDVD? no wonder it tanked.

The only categories that are no brainers are C and E (Charlie and Darkman). In category A, i'm not interested in any of them, but will probably go with Italian Job, it was fun enough. In B, I'd like both Pitch Black and The Thing, but I'm going with The Thing, as thats a film i watch a few times a year on DVD anyway. D... I'm going Frighteners.... its looks fun, and screw U2 and harrison fords ancient ass.

here's why i bring this up... on CAG, i was reading someone elses choices, and i forget what he picked besides Swordfish. I can't think of any reason on EARTH (besides halle berry's nugs) that anyone would choose swordfish over Charile or Full Metal Jacket. FMJ is a manly movie ICON. i mean... every guy likes that movie. pretty much everyone ever period likes that movie. charlie was much better than i thought, and i actually really dug that one, and even if it sucked... SWORDFISH.

i mean... SWORD. FISH.

what would you choose?

Picked up two more copies of 'Folklore' at Target today, and sold them to some CAGs. It's the first time I've ever sold something online, and it went really well. They both paid me in full, up front. Now I just have to ship them out. I guess it's nice being on this end, because I don't have to worry about getting ripped off really. I already have the money, as long as I ship the games, I'm gold.

They gave me some money for postage, and I'm planning on spending it all on postage. Maybe I can swing some delivery confirmation or something, just to be nice. It feels good to help fellow CAGs out.

Aileen Wuornos, Richard Ramirez, that singer guy from Drowning Pool and Ja Rule were all born today. So if you, or someone you know, has a baby today... please make them a prom night dumpster baby posthaste. It's for the good of the future!
