just went and played nine with kyle... as in last night at this point.

we both played poorly, though started out good considering we haven't played a round in years. I was hitting everything well, and kyle was crushing everything, but topping it too, so he was just getting long bounces. we both need help putting. i was getting some two-putts, even threes... which, when you think about it, is just unacceptable. you should hit a decent approach with your short irons, close enough to one putt, and even if you end up putting, that first putt should put you within just a few feet of a hole with an easy second putt.

but it never works out that way.

there was a group in front of us and we were right up their ass the entire round. they never let us play through, despite us joining them on the tee box FOUR TIMES. i would gather that etiquette dictates its up to them to let us play through, not up to us to ask them if we can play through. it was late so there were no course staff riding around. what a bunch of dicks. they were sooooo slow that we had another twosome catch up behind us, and we could see the first teebox from the third hole. They started THREE HOLES behind us, and caught up to us on the tee box at the ninth hole. jeebus. by the ninth hole we were hacking so bad they probably figured we were the slowpokes. but nope, we were sitting on the teebox waiting for those idiots half the day.

didnt get home until 730... and then my AC was broken. i found that it was just a blown fuse, but even right now its like 78 in the house, and thats with it running all night... jeepers. humidity isnt helping i guess.

either way, it was fun. i want to go again soon. i never see kyle anymore.

no no more heroes today... hastings didnt get them in. but i had them hold a copy for me. allegedly. for tomorrow.

went to the driving range with Kyle. i swear... my golf game is a mystery. i used to be great with my short irons, then awful with them, but great with my long irons, today i was using my woods and putter like a champ, but that was it. freaking weird. if i ever got all those parts to work at the same time, i'd damn near be tour material.

kyle was pretty consistent. he kept fading everything, so i mentioned that he might be too far back in his stance. he moved up and started nailing everything perfectly. jerk.

It's a fun point capture game, set underwater, with some b-movie plot and voice acting. Pretty fun and pretty to look at too. it doesn't hurt that it's free! but only until Sunday!
